New

  • INVOICING Invoicing flights to a third party
From Advanced, a third party or “other payer”, such as an external flight school or a charter customer, can be entered in the logbook. The invoice for the flight is then created for this third party automatically.
  • INVOICING Setting the invoice language
The language of an invoice can be changed while it has the status “Created”. From Advanced, it can be fixed to German or English, and invoices to non-users follow the account’s default language and formats.
  • INVOICING New placeholders for invoice texts
New placeholders, such as currency, invoice date, approved by and customer number, come with short forms in a placeholder window grouped by topic. From Advanced, placeholders for text left and right, translated texts and page breaks are added.
  • INVOICING More options with credits
From Advanced, credits can be excluded for individual invoices, for example to clear them later. On the Business plan, externally paid fuel on tax invoices is recorded as a credit note for the payer.
  • INVOICING Bank details, SEPA QR code and invoice layout
On the Business plan only, bank details can be added to the PDF via placeholders and a SEPA QR code for banking apps can be attached. The invoice title, the visible fields in the data area and a shorter consecutive number can also be configured.
  • INVOICING Automatic landing fees
From Advanced, apron:pilot automatically adds an editable invoice item with the landing fee for flights to configured destinations of an aircraft.
  • INVOICING Flights not yet invoiced under “My Finances”
Under “My Finances”, pilots see their flights that have not been invoiced yet, with filters and estimated costs.
  • PREMIUM The PREMIUM subscription
Version 1.2 introduces PREMIUM: the free version has restricted functionality, and PREMIUM unlocks the full range. Administrators subscribe on the account page and pay by credit card, SEPA direct debit or PayPal, which is also available for the invoicing module.
  • PREMIUM Planned maintenance and maintenance end
Administrators enter the next planned maintenance and, when switching to MAINTENANCE, an expected end date, which pilots see in the calendar, dashboard and information page. Pilots with reservations in that period can be notified by e-mail.
  • PREMIUM Rating renewal requests
Pilots can request the renewal of a rating in their profile with a new date and proof. Administrators and power users are notified, review the requests on a dedicated page, and the new date is applied after approval.
  • PREMIUM More custom fields
Custom fields are now also available for aircraft, for example for maintenance or fuel, with the new types date, single choice and multiple choice. Fields from the calendar and logbook can also be shown on the dashboard and under “My reservations”.
  • PREMIUM NOTAM by e-mail and user groups
NOTAM can also, or only, be sent by e-mail, optionally with attachments. Fixed or rule-based user groups determine who receives and sees a NOTAM.
  • PREMIUM Custom login page with logo
Under /login-{shortname}, your group gets its own login page with its name and a custom logo, handy for linking from your club website. The short name can be up to 15 characters long for this.
  • PREMIUM Automatic renewal of the internal check flight
For each aircraft you can set how many flight hours within a period extend the internal check flight by how many days. A nightly job updates the dates and notifies pilots as well as administrators and power users.
  • PREMIUM Hiding aircraft from unassigned pilots
For each aircraft you can set whether unassigned pilots see its information on the dashboard and information page.
  • Dark mode
apron:pilot is now also available in dark mode. In your profile you choose between system, light and dark.
  • Changing the aircraft of a reservation
The aircraft of an existing reservation can be changed. If this overlaps with another reservation, a message prevents the double booking.
  • Correcting invoiced logbook entries
Administrators can edit logbook entries even if an invoice already exists. A reason is mandatory, and the changes remain traceable in the details.
  • New tabs on the account page
The account page has new tabs for account statistics and communications, where the default language and formats also apply to new users. Companies can store their VAT ID and choose “charter business” as account type.

Improved

  • INVOICING Due dates and totals in invoice lists
The invoice list, payment runs, dashboard and “My Finances” show the due date and highlight overdue invoices in red. The invoice list can be filtered by due date and totals the filtered invoices.
  • INVOICING Editing and resending invoices
Amounts with currency symbols are cleaned up when pasted, and unsaved changes trigger a warning. When resending, a message can be added, the e-mail shows “Reminder” in the subject and the invoice records who resent it and when.
  • Contact form instead of “Report a bug”
“Report a bug” is now called “Contact” and takes ideas, requests and feedback as well as error reports.
  • Ratings valid up to and including the expiry date
Expiry dates of ratings and internal check flights now count until the end of the day everywhere, so reservations on the expiry day are possible. If something expires today, a separate warning is shown.
  • Redesigned interface
The whole application looks cleaner: popups have been redesigned, messages use the full width on smartphones, missing profile pictures show initials and aircraft information appears as cards.
  • Locked aircraft hidden
Locked aircraft no longer appear for users on the dashboard, in the calendar, logbook or profile, or on the information pages.
  • Clearer reservations
Users only see reservations of their assigned aircraft, today’s list on the dashboard is paginated and a blinking marker shows active reservations. The reservation popup is larger on big screens.
  • Easier aircraft and user administration
The list of assigned pilots is alphabetical and linked, and status messages can be 200 characters long. Before removing all pilot assignments, a confirmation warns that check flight data and pilot prices are deleted as well.

Fixed

  • INVOICING Invoice list and electronic invoice
The invoice list loads quickly even with very many invoices and counts the items of tax invoices with credits correctly. The electronic invoice shows the address used at the time of sending.
  • E-mail addresses in log files
E-mail addresses now only appear obfuscated in log files.
  • Translation of automated e-mails
The note “This is an automated e-mail …” appears in the correct language again.
  • Duplicate marker in Safari
In Safari, the “my reservation” marker appears only once in list and year view.
  • Invoiced logbook entries protected
Logbook entries with an invoice can no longer be deleted.
  • Creating and deleting aircraft
The status message is saved when creating an aircraft, and aircraft with existing reservations can be deleted without errors.
  • Users in several groups
Showing or hiding contact details no longer overwrites user details for users in several groups.
  • Check flight and rating dates
The rating overview shows the date field of aircraft-specific ratings again, and the user import applies the internal check flight date correctly.

Maintenance

  • Updated technology and improved security
Frameworks and technical components are up to date, and security around verification and password reset has been improved.
