Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Your browser’s local storage works in a similar way. While you read, this website stores neither in your browser. Only when you fill in a form or log in as an editor is something added, and only as much as is necessary for that.
1. What we store in your browser
- cf.turnstile.u (local storage, Cloudflare Turnstile): only stored once you click into a field of the contact or newsletter form, helps the spam protection check whether a human is filling in the form. Duration: local storage has no expiry date. The entry remains until you clear the site data in your browser.
- wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…, wordpress_test_cookie: only for logged-in editors, keep the login active. Duration: until the browser is closed, up to 14 days with “Remember me”.
2. No consent required
Both are strictly necessary to provide a function you explicitly use: submitting a form that is protected against spam, or staying logged in as an editor (Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). This needs no consent, which is why we show no cookie banner. We do not use cookies for statistics, marketing or advertising, and while you read, neither we nor any third party store anything in your browser.
What Cloudflare processes during the check in the form is described in the privacy policy.
3. Deleting cookies and site data
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. There is no language cookie: the language is part of the page address, German pages are under /de/.
