New
- Reservation calendar with waiting list
Create, update and delete reservations; administrators and power users can also do so for other pilots. Booked slots have a waiting list, and reservations can be exported to iCal and Google Calendar. - Digital logbook
Flights are recorded with Hobbs, total time in service and optional details such as oil and fuel. The departure is prefilled with the aircraft’s last destination, and three-letter FAA identifiers are accepted. - Aircraft with maintenance data
Aircraft are managed with their status (OK, in maintenance, locked), maintenance data and hour log. Users are warned when maintenance is due. - Pilot management and member list
Administrators manage the users, and all pilots see a member list. Personal details apart from name and e-mail address are optional, and each pilot decides whether others can see their contact details. - User import from Excel
Administrators create many users at once from an XLS or XLSX file, including the invitation e-mails. - Rating and check flight checks
If enabled, apron:pilot checks the internal check flight, medical and class ratings such as SEP or MEP and reminds pilots before they expire. Without a valid internal check flight, no reservation is possible. - For smartphones, tablets and all common browsers
apron:pilot is optimised for smartphones and tablets and works in Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge. - German and English
The whole application, including the online help and e-mails, is available in German and English; each user chooses their default language in the profile. - One login for several groups
Pilots who fly with several clubs or flight schools have one login per e-mail address and switch between groups via the sidebar. Login works with the username or the e-mail address. - Encrypted data and nightly backups
Personal data is stored encrypted in the database, and a backup runs every night. - Newsletter choice in the profile
Users decide in their profile, administrators in the account, whether they receive the apron:pilot newsletter.
