For co-ownerships
One aircraft, several owners – clearly organised
Who flies when, who flew how much, who pays what? apron:pilot brings your co-ownership’s bookings, logbook and billing together in one place. Free forever for one aircraft and up to 10 pilots.
Free: up to 10 users, 1 aircraft, 25 MB storage – no time limit.

Co-ownership in practice
What every co-ownership has to sort out
Who flies when?
One shared calendar instead of a group chat. The system spots overlaps, and the waiting list tells you when a slot frees up.
Who flew how much?
The digital logbook records every flight with Hobbs or engine hour meter readings. Under “My flights”, every pilot sees their own.
Who pays what?
The logbook is the basis for a transparent split. With invoicing, it becomes one invoice per pilot.
Are they allowed to fly it?
Class rating, medical, type briefing: apron:pilot checks ratings with every booking and sends a reminder before they expire.
When is the next maintenance due?
Maintenance periods block the calendar. Premium adds defect management and a maintenance forecast.
Does everyone know?
New hangar code, changed fuel rule: internal NOTAMs reach all owners right in the app.
Share costs fairly
How you split insurance, hangar and the annual inspection is up to your group, for example through yearly contributions or in the aircraft’s per-minute rate. apron:pilot provides the basis: every minute in the logbook, per pilot.
- Hobbs and engine hour meters
- Fuel and oil with receipts right in the logbook
- “My flights” for every pilot, also in Free
- Logbook export as Excel, statistics as Excel or PDF (Premium)

Billing in minutes
If you no longer want to do the maths by hand, activate the invoicing add-on. It also works with Free and saves a lot of admin, especially if you also rent out the aircraft to pilots outside your group.
- A PDF invoice per pilot straight from the logbook
- Pilot-specific per-minute rates, also meter-based
- Fuel paid by a pilot is credited back
- Bill flights to another payer, such as a rental customer (from Advanced)

Maintenance at a glance
A maintenance period blocks the calendar for bookings. With Premium, you report defects with photos and see from planned flight times when the next maintenance is due. Whether a defect grounds the aircraft is your decision.
- Maintenance periods in the calendar
- Defects with photos and status (Premium)
- Maintenance forecast from planned flight times (Premium)
- Expiry reminders for ratings

Born from everyday life in co-ownerships
apron:pilot was built from the point of view of a pilot who flies co-owned aircraft. That is why it is lean: not a heavyweight club system, but exactly what a small group with one aircraft needs. Developed in Graz, Austria.
Is apron:pilot free for a co-ownership with one aircraft?
Yes. Free has no time limit – for up to 10 users, one aircraft and 25 MB storage. Booking, logbook, ratings and internal NOTAMs are included.
How do we share costs fairly?
The logbook is the basis: every flight is recorded with flight time or meter reading, and every pilot sees their flights under “My flights”. Co-ownerships usually cover fixed costs through contributions or in the per-minute rate. With the invoicing add-on, apron:pilot turns this into PDF invoices per pilot, with individual per-minute rates and fuel refunds.
We also rent out the aircraft to other pilots. Does that work?
Yes. Pilots outside your group get their own user account and count towards your plan’s users. From Invoicing Advanced, flights can be billed to another payer, such as a rental customer or a flight school. With AnonyMode (Premium), they see no data of the other owners.
Is the aircraft blocked when maintenance is due?
A maintenance period blocks the calendar for bookings. If a pilot lacks a required rating, no booking is possible. With Premium you report defects; whether a defect grounds the aircraft is your decision.
Where is our data stored?
On servers in the EU. Personal data is encrypted, and backups run daily.
Can we export our data?
Yes, with Premium: the logbook as an Excel file, statistics as Excel or PDF files.
Do pilots need an app?
No. apron:pilot runs in the browser and is optimised for smartphones, no installation required. The interface and online help are available in English and German.
